The Living Stone

1 Peter 2:4-6
As you come to Him, the living stone, rejected by men, but chosen and precious in God’s sight, you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it stands in Scripture: “See, I lay in Zion a stone, a chosen and precious cornerstone; and the one who believes in Him will never be put to shame.” Berean Study Bible

Our Ebenezer – our stone of help – another comforter and help through the Holy Spirit. Eben Haezer: “stone of the help,” a place of unc. location, also a commemorative stone

The place Eben-Ezer, being the name of a stone raised by Samuel to commemorate a victory over the Philistines at Mizpeh (1 Sam. 7:12), from Hebrew eḇen ezar, “stone of help,” from eḇen “stone” + ezer “help”, now believed to be Dayr Aban.

Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing (a hymn written by Robert Robinson in 1758)

Sorrowing I shall be in spirit,

Till released from flesh and sin,

Yet from what I do inherit,

Here Thy praises I’ll begin;

Here I raise my Ebenezer;

Here by Thy great help I’ve come;

And I hope, by Thy good pleasure,

Safely to arrive at home.

Ebenezer means “stone of help.” From then on, every time an Israelite saw the stone erected by Samuel, he would have a tangible reminder of the Lord’s power and protection. The “stone of help” marked the spot where the enemy had been routed and God’s promise to bless His repentant people had been honored. The Lord had helped them, all the way to Ebenezer. https://www.gotquestions.org/Ebenezer.html

Isaiah 28:16 – Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

It is clear that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts.
2 Corinthians 3:3

Daniel 2:34

There is yet another stone to come…

As you watched, stone was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay, and crushed them.

The New Jerusalem
…10And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the holy city of Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, 11shining with the glory of God. Its radiance was like a most precious jewel, like a jasper, as clear as crystal.

Revelation 21:11

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who overcomes, I will give the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone inscribed with a new name, known only to the one who receives it.

Revelation 2:17

Living Stone ~ Living Waters  – John 7:38, Revelation 7:17, Revelation 22:1 – The River of Life – Then the angel showed me a river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Hallelujah!
